** New - Shortblock, Optic Ready - Brazos Lightning Unique, 9mm

BYOG -- Build Your Own Gun!  The Brazos Optic-Ready Shortblock provides a solid foundation for building your own gun because we do the fitting of the major gun components for you.  We take a Brazos Lightning Optic-Ready slide, fit it to our MDS Frame, and then fit a Bar-Sto barrel to the slide.  Available only in 9mm.

This shortblock features:

• Brazos modular double stack (MDS) 5" wide (long dust cover) frame with Wilson/Nowlin ramp.  The slide is fitted to the frame during the frame manufacturing process.  This ensures a precise and long-lasting fit, and it produces bearing surfaces that are parallel/square to the frame.
• Brazos Lightning Optic-Ready five-inch unique slide that is flat-topped, has our trademark Brazos Custom lightning holes in the front, and rear bullet cocking serrations in the back. The slide has a rear optic plate cut that accepts the interchangeable AccuracyX Multi-Sight mounting plate*.  
• Bar-Sto bull barrel, also with Wilson/Nowlin ramp, that has been fitted to the slide. The barrel has been chambered, the barrel ramp has been tuned, and the barrel muzzle has been crowned.
• Slide stop fitted to barrel lugs and blended to the frame.

 

* The rear optic cut on the slide accepts the interchangeable AccuracyX Multi-Sight mounting plate that gives you the flexibility to run a wide range of reflex optics or even iron sights.  A lug milled onto the top of the optic plate cut precisely mates with a recess on the underside of the AccuracyX plate.  Three 6-32 TORX mounting screws further ensure that the mounting plate locks securely to the slide, holding the optic steady for precision and accuracy without loosening, breakage, or degradation over time.   

* Mounting plate and reflex optic are not included and must be purchased separately.

Romeo3 users: If you plan to use a Romeo3 sight you will need to install it using the AccuracyX mounting plate with the C-More footprint. The Romeo3 sight extends forward on the slide a little farther than the C-More plate. To allow for this extra length, we offer this slide with a flat machined toward the front of the optic cut. This setup will also work with the C-More RTS2 although there will be a narrow flat at the front of the sight. Select the "Romeo3 Optic Cut" if you want to use a Romeo3 sight or if you want to use the C-More RTS2 but might switch to a Romeo3 in the future. For all other optics, choose the "Standard" cut. .

Special Shipping Requirements: Frames are marked with a serial number and, as such, are treated like complete pistols with respect to delivery. That means we must ship a frame to a dealer with a Federal Firearms License (FFL) who will then “transfer” the item to you. The dealer is your agent so please locate and make arrangements with a firearms dealer in your state of residence to do the transfer for you. Prior to shipping we must receive a signed copy of the dealer’s FFL. This document can be emailed or faxed to us at 254-622-3000. Please ask the dealer to reference your name with the document. Once your order is placed we will call to confirm all information.
