The outer spring in the RecoilMaster needs to be replaced about every 30,000 rounds. The springs are the same for both the bull and bushing Recoilmasters. The light replacement spring is used for 9mm and 38 Super whereas the heavy spring is used for 40 S&W and 45 ACP.
